Hello All~

It was a heat wave in Wisconsin today....snow and about 14 above. LOL Bailey went outside instead of peeing in Gramma and Gramps bed. That is a plus because they were very mad at her. Mom is still out hunting for a place for us to live, but not many places accept dogs...I do not see why not we are good animals....CATS are the bad ones. ROFL

Well it is time to hit the hay, Mom gets up at 2am and we need to get up at that time to go potty...which is WAY TO EARLY....our puppy eyes are still have shut at that time.

Still Trying to Thaw Out~~~

It is -25 below zero not including the wind chill factor....to darn cold. I go outside and my paws freeze to the point I can not walk back to the house...Mom needs to come to my rescue...Thanks MOM!!! Well, she or Grandpa need to bring my in the house all the time since my hind leg has not been the same since the vet cut my nails a year ago Christmas Day. But I have been getting along great other that getting up the steps. Mom takes such good care of me. She is a good Doxie lover.

Speaking of cold...It is so cold Bailey keeps peeing in Gramma's bed...twice today...she had to spend time in the kennel...she has never been put in a kennel which she did not like...she cried and cried. Then right after Grandpa put her in the kennel that belongs to Gizmo (Gramma's dumb dog, he is a shitzu) and that is exactly what he is good at. He pooped on the floor so Bailey got released and it was Gizmo's turn...HAHAHA I have nto been in a kennel since I was 3 months old...Grandpa says I am the GOOD DOGGY : )

Mom went to look at the apartment today but the office said it was cold. The manager left a voicemail saying becuase schools were closed all across WI that he needed to stay home with his kids. She needs to reschedule the appointment for next week...so a few more days to keep for paws crossed...that we soon can kind a new place to live.

I hope all of you liked our new pics, Mom spent $70.00 on them and still did not get all she wanted.

Well, I need to run off and cuddle with my Mommy....it is warm in her bed!!!

Good Evening from Freezin' Wisconsin...

WOWWWW 28 below zero and my paws are feeling it., they freeze as I try to walk....bbbbbrrrrrrr Well, I am all nestled into bed with my sister Bailey....cuddle and cozy. Who says sisters are good for nothing??? LOL Well Mommy goes and looks at an apartment for us tomorrow...we are keeping our paws crossed she gets it as we want her to be happy again. Bailey and I will miss Grams and Gramps but it will be so much better.

Hello All~

Long time no blog...We been pretty laid back at our house. Bailey and I turned 5 years old on Nov. 5th, we had a cupckae party!!! Mommy is looking for a place of our own to live as Grandma is becoming a very bad alcoholic and Mommy is having a very hard time dealing with it. She spends a lot of time in her room crying and just trying to cope with the issue. She just gopt home from a two week vacation in Arizona visiting our other Grandpa and Grandma...Bailey and I missed her sooooooo muchhhhhh. My tail was just a wagging when she came waling thru the front door Jan. 5th. Christmas Day marks a 1 year anniversary the Vet diagnosed me with a bad knee cap and tendon. I have been doing just great....sometimes the cold bothers it but I am not laid up in bed like last year. I run around shaking my butt....LOL

Here are our recent pics with Santa (our Grandpa) and some others...Are we just not the perfect brother and sister???

Long time no blog. Mommy has been sick with mono and influenza and Bailey and I just been hang out. Our Gramma got a puppy....gggggggrrrrr he is not one of us, he is a shitzu and he is a hell on 4 paws. We do not like him, he has long fur and stinks, and is very hyper. Gramma says he need to like him, but we will see...LOL

No Longer Snow Bound...For A While Anyways

Hello All-

Sorry we have not posted in a while, Mommy has been busy working full time, interviewing for full time jobs (she accepted one yesterday), and Bailey Jean and I are so chilled by all this snow we do nothing but hang out in Papa and Nana's bed : ) We got 10-12 inches of snow the Sunday into Monday, it was nasty. Papa shoveled as a path to go potty, otherwise we will not go outside at all. The snow is piled so high on each side looks like a tunnel to us seeing God only granted us with short legs...LOL

We doggie sat for our Satin last week, she is a long haired Dachsie but to Mommy she looks like a Dachsie mixed with a Black lab, she has really long legs and springs around the house like a kid on caffeine. She is to hyper for us so we ignored her. We were very glad to see her go home with her mom and dad, as she was stealing our Papa for three days. As you see, I or Mommy never told you, I am a Nana's boy and Bailey Jean is a Papa's girl, so Mommy always says she does not have a dog, only two kids to support...LOL We Love Her Too, when Papa and Nana aren't around!!!

My day at the doctor's....

Hello All my fellow doggy friends and your owners,

Mommy took me to the vet today for my leg/hip problems, they had a xray scheduled but they did not do one. The doc just felt and moved my leg and hip and told Mommy that he believes it to not be my back....(yippie) and that my leg and hip are not dislocated....(yahooooooo), but that it is my knee cap. Because Dachsies have such short, crooked legs to begin with and me being overly plump and round does not help so my knee cap is out of place and does not work like it should. He said he could do surgery on it where he goes in and pins the tendong to the knee cap to hold it in place but is very painful and takes 6-8 months of bed rest to recover. But seeing I am not showing any pain and I get along the way I do he recommends not doing anything with it at this time. Besides for me to loses 5-10 lbs. So no more treats for me...DARN!!!! I had my paws crossed he would give us good information. So Mommy says she will just have to carry my fat 23.1 lb body around until the day I die...LOL She says they should allow her to claim me on her taxes as her crippled child...LOL Gotta love her!!!

Hey Everyone!!!

Crikit, Sparky, and Ginger welcome to my circle of friends, and a special thanks to Sammy, Roxie, and Andy for sending you our way!!! We love meeting new friends. And as C, S, & G Daddy said it was cold in Wisconsin and today it is -45 degree with the wind chill, Bailey and I do not want to even go outside so we stay cuddle in the blankets.

Well, some news on my upcoming visit to the vet...Mommy stopped into the our regular vet this past Thursday and explained to the "OLD CRABBY" receptionist my situation (for the third time to people there) since that new employed vet cut my nails back in Dec. my back end has not been the same. The old crabby lady said sounds like and she recommends that Mommy has an x-ray done on it. So mommy set up and appointment for this coming Wedneday, please keep your tails and paws crossed that it is nothing major. I am very scared and Mommy is just as nervous as me. You are all probably asking, "Why are we going back the same vet? "Well the crabby old lady read my medical chart and she believes that my problem is due to the way that new employeed vet cut my nails, (but I know I was stubborn). She said he should of known better because doggies like me are little and very precious. So they are picking up the bill, and then after the results Mommy is going to find out if she can get all my visits, shots and pain killers since Dec. 18th reimbursed seeing it may be their fault I am crippled as Mommy calls it.

Hey Everyone-

This is Scrappy and I even brought my sis Bailey Jean with me so she can say Hello to All!! We have been busy trying to post a new blog but Mommy has been busy filling out applications for a part-time job. She already works full time but wants to earn some money to help pay for me if anything serious needs to be done. I love my Mommy, she is the BEST! I go in for a 2nd opinion in 2 weeks, I am nervoussssssss. I do not like vets and Mommy still believes that my leg/hip is the way it is because of the vet. I went in on Dec. 18 to have 2 shots and may nails cut, but stubborn me when the vet tries to cut my hind legs I sit on them so he has to struggle to get the foot out from underneath me. I was fine until that day, since then I have not been normal. Mommy cries when she thinks about as she thinks the vet is going to say surgery. I am her baby she has had me since I was 2 months old. I give her that look telling her everything will be just fine....wiping her tears with my tongue. : ) She lovessssss puppy kisses.

Bailey and me have done nothing yet today besides lay in bed together and be all nice and cozy. It is bbbbrrrrrrrr here and neither one of us wants to go outside...unless Mommy is going to take us for a car ride....please please please...WE LOVE CAR RIDES!!!!

Thank you to all for the get well wishes and prayers. I am doin bettter but still have not made it to the nasty vet for a 2nd opinion. The bad weather we keep havin makes it hard for Mommy to drive into town. I am getting along ok, chasing my sister and my Grandpa and Grandma's kittens. They have 4 cats, 2 kittens and 2 adult cats. Bailey and I love the kittens, we even let them sleep with us in Grandma and Grandpa's bed, they sleep right along side us. Well it is time for mommy to play with us and feed us so I will blog later.

They went from a dog eat girl world to best pals. Scrappy used to chase her around the house, grab her pants leg and pull them right off her body...LOL She thought it was the funniest thing but he truly did not like her, can not tell by the pic can you???

Scrappy Update:

Scrappy is doing the same with all this snow we keep gettin' we will never make it to the vet for a second opinion...LOL We leave about 40 miles from the vet we are going to do see and the roads just are not in good shape. Today they said we are to get 1 inch only, by 3:00 pm we already had 4 inches on the ground and it is still coming down like rain. So you can guess what Scrappy and Bailey are doin'....Cuddling together stying warm!!!! : )

We are expecting alot of snow in the next day and a half, so we need to cancel our trip to the 2nd opinion vet. I thought I would leave on a good note with some more pics of my babies. Scrappy is the B&T and Bailey Jean is the Red. They are 4 year old true bro and sis and are like two peas in a pod.

We spend alot of time taking photo shoots!! Hope you enjoy!!! : )

Thank you to all you have sent comments, I will be going to get another opinion for Scrappy this week. He seems better than Christmas morning, but still tends to drag that one back leg and when he sits it slips out from beneath him. When looking at him you can see that he has a very tight muscle. I praying it is not his back but preferrably his hip. I would much not have there be nothing wrong with him at all. I will keep you all posted as to how the vet visit for the 2nd opinion goes.

PLEASE is anyone knows any good surgeon for Dachsies here in the Appleton/Green Bay area Wisconsin please blog me.

Still considering seeing another vet for a 2nd Opinion

I have not been online for a while due to tending to my little boy Scrappy. On Christmas morning I ended up rushing him to the vet because he could not walk he would only drag himself along the bed and floor. The vet thinks it is a slipped disc in his back and had put him on pretizone (sp). He seems to be more lively and gets around but just is not himself and still seems to be showing signs of soreness. (if only dogs could talk) I am really looking into get a 2nd opinion because the vet is just trying to diagnose this by visually looking at him, has not taken an xray.

I am praying he does not need to have surgery and if he does that the surgery will really help. Please let me know what your opinions are on this if you have any.

Time to chase off to bed, 1am comes real soon!

Hello- My name is Krista from Wisconsin and these are my babies...Bailey and Scrappy. They are 4 year old miniature Dachshunds and are true siblings. Both of them are my pride and joy.

I am a single, straight 35 year old. I love to watch NASCAR, football (GO PACK GO), enjoy reading, scrapbooking, relaxing, bowling (even though I stink at it), like to go to hometown school football games and to watch the Milwaukee Brewers play. I also love animals...I have two dogs, 4 cats, a rabbit, and fish.
